1. KALI 5000
KALI , stands for Kilo Ampere Linear Injector is a linear electron accelerator being developed by the Defence Research Development Organization (DRDO) and the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre of india. KALI is a top secret weapon of india, which will destroy any uninvited missile aimed to India. This star war type weapon designed to work in such a way that if an enemy missile is launched in Indian direction, it will quickly emit powerful pulses of Relativistic Electron Beams (REB) and destroy the target in no time. The Kali project was first mooted in 1985 by the then Director of the BARC and work began on this Project in the year 1989. The system is still under development and will take some time for development. It has been reported that the project’s potential as a defence weapon has made it a threat for China.
2. GHATAK UCAV (AURA)
GHATAK UCAV previously known as AURA (autonomous unmanned combat air vehicle) is a one of the top secret project being developed by Defense Research and Development Organization. Design work on this top secret project is to be carried out by Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA). AURA will be capable of carrying and releasing missiles, bombs and precision-guided bombs. Work on GHATAK UCAV begun early 2007 and expected to be completed by 2025. In defence budget 2017, the finance ministry has cleared Rs 231 crores to carry out Design work of GHATAK and Development of Critical Advanced Technologies for GHATAK and AMCA. Ghatak will be a derivative of the abandoned Kaveri project that had been in the works for over two decades. other Details of the project are classified but development of this projects could change the face of aviation in India.
3. HYPERSONIC BRAHMOS CRUISE MISSILE
BrahMos 2 or BrahMos Hyper sonic Cruise Missile is a second missile of BrahMos series of cruise missiles. India and Russia has started work to develop a more lethal and dangerous futuristic hypersonic cruise missile. BrahMos 2 will have a scramjet propulsion system instead of the ramjet engine. Missile is expected to be ready for testing by 2021 and It can be launched from Land, Air, Sea and Submarine platforms. It will have a range of 290 kilometers and speed of mach 7. As of now Other details, including production cost , physical dimensions of the missile, and other technical aspects are yet to be published. It will be finest cruise missile in the world when developed.
AMCA (Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft) is an fifth-generation fighter aircraft program of india. It is being developed by an two main aerospace agencies of India , Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) as the design firm with manufacturing carried out by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) as the primary contractor and main assembly firm. AMCA will be single-seat, twin-engine, stealth super maneuverable all weather multirole fighter aircraft. Unofficial Design work on this project started in 2008 And official work started in 2011 and completed in 2016. The first flight is expected to occur in 2025 and it will be in service for Indian air force and Indian navy somewhere around 2030. 5. AGNI 6 MIRV
Agni-6 is a intercontinental ballistic missile being developed by the DRDO for the use of the Indian Armed Forces. it will be 3 stage intercontinental ballistic missile with range of 8000 to 10000km. Agni-VI will be heavier than Agni-V and will be able to carry 3 tonnes of Payload which is double of existing payload limit of 1.5 tonne in Agni-V and it will be India’s first missile which will be able to carry multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV) warheads. AGNI 6 Missile will be taller than its predecessor Agni V, and first flight test of missile is expected in 2020 . It will have the capability to be launched from submarine and from land-based launchers.
6. DRDO E-BOMB
DRDO (The Defence Research and Development Organisation) is developing an E-bomb which will emit electromagnetic shock waves that neutralises electronic circuits , the adversary’s command, control and communication capability of enemy forces. E-bomb would give an option to the armed forces as the bomb can target the enemy’s mobile targets, air defence systems, static radars, naval vessels with communication systems and even ill-shielded communication or electronic systems at a military base. Initially, DRDO’s e-bomb is being designed for delivery by combat aircraft and later, it would be integrated with missiles.
7. PRALAY MISSILE
pralay is a new surface to surface tactical missile system being developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation. It is one of the most secret weapons of India which is in development stage. This missile heavily borrowing components from ‘Shourya’ missile. DRDO was given the go-ahead in March 2015 to develop a New Surface-to-surface tactical missile which for the first time was confirmed by DRDO’s Annual report for the year 2015 . 8. INS VISHAL
INS vishal is a second ship of the Vikrant-class aircraft carrier. It is currently in its design phase, which will be built by Cochin Shipyard Limited for the Indian Navy. Ins vishal has been reported to be a Nuke powered aircraft carrier, and it will have advanced Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) to launch planes from its aircraft carriers and the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) to recover these planes after the U.S. Department of Defense approved the sale of these sophisticated systems to India in 2017. The design stage of IAC-II began in 2012 by the navy’s Naval Design Bureau. Ins vishal will be 65,000 tonnes. INS Vishal likely to enter service in the early 2030s.
9. INDIGENOUS SSK SUBMARINE PROJECT
According to media reports India has been developing indigenous SSK Conventional hunter killers submarine based on Indigenous design. Some reports suggest that these submarines will be designed by the navy’s submarine design group and will be built by BARC, DRDO and Navy. It will be 6,000 tonne submarine and will have vertical launch tubes for Nirbhay , brahmos ER ( extended range ) cruise missiles and advanced torpedo. 10. SURYA MISSILE
The Surya missile is another top Secret Weapons of India. It will be intercontinental ballistic missile speculated to be in development by DRDO. Specifications and other technical aspect of the missile are not known and the entire program continues to remain highly secretive. Surya is the most ambitious project in India’s Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme. It is speculated to have a range between 12,000 to 16,000 kilometers.
